If you sell Bridal Photos, Engagement Photos, Senior or Family photos you must add frames to increase profits. The fact is most people don't want to spend hours looking for a frame to fit the photo and after they take it home it gets pushed aside for weeks until they have time to get framed and hung. This cost you money in 2 ways. First and less obvious way is the loss of excitement. If they could take home a ready to hang photo the first thing your client would do is call all her friends and relatives to come over and take a look. When you send home a rolled or even a mounted but unframed print they plan to wait to show it when it is finished. Unfortunally by that time the excitement is gone and you lost a great chance at referrals. This reason alone would be enough to stock several common frame sizes. The next reason is extra profit. Many companies that sell to photographers get from $80.00 to $150.00 per frame (20x24) and then add matts and glazing (glass) on top of that inflated price. You can purchase a very ornate wood frame, 20"x24"for $28.00 and keep all the profit for yourself. Add a little shipping and your total investment would be around $38.00. Simply add a ready made matte or insert a photo without matte which you would have ordered mounted to hard backing into the frame. Use a low cost "point nailer" which can be purchased between $25.00 and $75.00. Tape on the paper backing available from quality paper for less and screw in the mounting clip. You have a professional looking mounted photo ready to hang. Option 2 is drop off at Hobby Lobby and they will do it all for around $7.00
Ok to be fair the $80.00+ frames come with free shipping.
